Using Free Partnerships to Double Your Ezine's Signup Rate

In "How to Double Your Ezine Signups in Less than a Day," I revealed a common sense, 3-step formula for doubling your ezine's signup rate. For maximum results, I suggest you do that FIRST before following the steps in this article. At the end of that article, I mentioned that I got an average of 15 to 18 subscribers a day using that formula.

Now, THIS article reveals how I brought that 16.5 daily average to over 30 subscribers a day, with just a few hours of work.

Here we go:

 Step #1: Find partner sites with similar traffic.

You could do this a lot of different ways, but I recommend going to http://www.alexa.com, and downloading the toolbar. Then, go to your own domain to get your traffic rank. (It displays right by the "Info" button on the toolbar.)

Then, click "See Traffic Details."

Near the middle of that page, you'll see a section that says:

Compare: harmonymajor.com vs. [__________] (Compare Sites)

Enter in a few of your colleagues' domains into that box (one at a time, of course), and see how their traffic rank compares to yours.

Add every site with a similar traffic rank to a list to contact later.

 Step #2: Contact the site owners.

Ideally, you'll already have some type of relationship with them. But if not, go to the contact page of each site you found, and contact the owner using the form there. (This way, they're less likely to consider your message spam.)

Basically, tell them that your sites are related, that they have very similar traffic rankings (as you've found using Alexa), and that you'd like to know if they'd be interested in swapping subscribe forms to double each others' signup rates.

I went from 18 subscribers a day to 30 by swapping ezine sign-up forms with one site owner. One of my subcategory pages at one of my old sites (HomeBasedHeaven.com) got as much traffic as the HOME page at the old Fawkner.com. (I believe I may have found this out by clicking on the Extreme Tracker counter the site owner had on her page at the time.)

I asked if she wanted to swap ezine signup forms, since the two pages I'd selected got the same amount of traffic.

She agreed!

My form went on the bottom of her short home page, and her form went at the top of one of my secondary pages (to balance out the amount of traffic we both got from each other's respective sites).

My subscription rate *immediately* doubled.


 In Conclusion...

This is just one idea to get your mind working as to how you can double your signup rate, and KEEP it high, even doing only a few hours of work.

A lot of the most successful people in marketing are the most CREATIVE ... and you can see why. Simple yet unique ideas like this can really generate HUGE amounts of sales and signups for you. The most challenging part is coming up with the idea. After that, it's a breeze. Good luck!
